MeeGo development on Raspberry Pi – video
Posted on September 23, 2011 by liz

The videos are starting to come in from partners we’ve sent alpha boards to at a very satisfying rate. Here’s Raspberry Pi booting QMLviewer on Mer, which is an open Maemo platform.
we should really end this confusion. really

They should come out sometime in December, so not much longer.
There are two boards, the A and B one. The B board will have 256 ram (instead of 128), 2 usb slots, and LAN, and will be around 35 bucks.
I am probably going to buy both, one for a mini media center and one for playing with different i2c sensors and stuff. If I ruin 25 bucks in my experiments, oh well, I am not going to cry for it.

I think I am going to buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Keybo...cmu_pg__header and maybe this: http://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Port-...1869010&sr=1-2
Then will see if I can fit the mobo inside the hub case, and power it from the HUB adapter.

Will have a lot of fun with it.

It could be used as NAS server if it has Gbit LAN, would be pretty cheap for 35$ :o

I think the LAN is only 10/100, but I guess you can buy a USB LAN and you will get maybe around 250mbps (because the USB bandwidth is shared with the hard drives).
Even so, do you NEED more than 100mbps for your NAS?
