Re: time for a new phone

My screen is getting thrashed. I'm close to pulling the trigger on one of those $12 n900 touch screen digitizers on ebay.

Re: time for a new phone

Does it come with a screen or it's only the digitizer? Because I had gotten a N95 screen for about this price, and it still works 1.5 years later, but it's not transflective, and the edges are like they are going to peel off. Rainbow colors on the four corners

It's only the digitizer. The screen w/ digitizer runs between $50 and $80.

If you ever do that post your experience here please... I'd kill to know if the pressure sensitivity still works after that. And how is the accuracy. And the distance between film and screen. And...

I think they're original Nokia n900 replacement parts. According to the ads, and there are alot of them, the parts are brand new, sealed, and they even come with the installation tools. It should be as good as new, but try thread-searching this site because that trail has already been blazed by a few. "digitizer" popped up some good ones.

But if I do it, I'll certainly post the experience.

i also started looking for a new device, but i realized that i could try android on the n900.

its nice and all, and if it gets working voicecalls and mobile internet with the next upgrade, i'll propably switch to that.
