"Even though there is built-in FM transmitter inside the device, there is no transmission antenna, so FM transmission does not really work" Where is the logic? :D

Re: N9 has Fm receiver and Transmitter hardware (confirmed)
HI guys..
So i have been searching for this. Let me get this right. - there is a transmitter inside the device - but it,s not accesible (or functional).. Qeustion ! Will this ever be possible to make this work ? Cause this is The ONE thing i really miss on my n9.. I still use my N900 everyday just for the FM Transmitter to this Day |
Re: N9 has Fm receiver and Transmitter hardware (confirmed)
Nope the FM Transmitter has no antenna so it won't work...

Oke this is Cristal ! It,s a shame though... Thanks for the super Quick Reply LoL.. |
Re: N9 has Fm receiver and Transmitter hardware (confirmed)
Is it really that crystal clear?
There's no FMRX antenna too, unless you plug headphones in. Usually, antennas do work reciprocal, meaning they can be used as RX and FX (just like with Bluetooth, WLAN). So, as it's the same chip handling FMRX and FMTX - why shouldn't it be possible? |
Re: N9 has Fm receiver and Transmitter hardware (confirmed)
Nope AFAIK there is a fmrx antenna in there...the headphones are required to pass on the signal but for the fmtx chip there isnt a single antenna connected to it...

Re: N9 has Fm receiver and Transmitter hardware (confirmed)
Is it possible to just add an antenna or just a piece of wire inside n9 to function as antenna? And is there any kind of n900 programs that could be easily ported to n9 to transmit fm signals?

Re: N9 has Fm receiver and Transmitter hardware (confirmed)
Well a number of people have tried but so far there is nothing feasible...And those who were working on it lost interest due to the feasibility issues...
Its a Hardware issue so no software will fix it up ;) |
