Re: The End Of Nokia

I should have stopped after I read the title:

"The Two Existential Threats to Nokia: Why Nokia on Endangered Species List and will not survive 12 months"

Come on, the guy can't even write correctly and then goes on a lengthy diatribe with little to no substance in it. The fact is: the bid to capture market share with an alliance with Mr. Softy will either fail or succeed....nothing more to see here.

For two seconds there I though you were talking about Dan.

You see what I mean? This is exactly that 'greedy' Gordon Gekko style predatory share buying that Wall Street was famous for in the 1980s and the movie Wall Street chronicled. Nokia is exactly at that stage now. An obvious target for any greedy shark on Wall Street, or any eccentric billionaire who ever wanted his own phone maker etc. Buy Nokia, keep only its brand and a bit of premium design (the best guys, from Finland haha who designed the N9 and MeeGo etc, not from the Stephen Elop admired West Coast designers haha) and then again, sell off the other parts, keep only 10% of Nokia, and get it essentially for free, as if you sell 90% of the rest at their real value - you do get to keep the part you want, more-or-less for free. Haha, a new vanity symbol, whose the daddy now. Who owns his own phone factory..
That's me, without the billionaire part.

Tommi is just a Symbian troll even if I agree with some of his statements but far from all is correct.

Some stuff makes sense. Anyways, he is kinda overreacting.

Personally, I'd rather see Nokia die after making MeeGo somewhat a succes rather than succeeding for some years to come with WP7 only.

Let's see what the next 4 Q's will show us, we live in interesting times fellow men!

And yet, I came back for a moment when the N9 was announced.

Don't you worry your little head... when I'm gone, I'll be gone for good.

Mmkay?
