And mine (not yet approved):
<SNIP>
I think I'll lodge a enhancement request soon...
When I have a minute, so busy lately, feel free to lodge one before me.
If anyone has some ideas/thoughts, please weigh-in.

Does anyone know about this supposed open sourcing of the Harmattan Office UI that I mention in the bug report (http://www.calligra.org/news/calligr...ttan-office/)?

That's exactly what I'm talking about in earlier posts.
Read previous posts carefully.

I have read it carefully. What I'm saying is, if you're asking about adapting the Calligra Active UI to the Swipe UX, why don't we use the existing UI as a basis for that? That's when I referred to that blog post, and tracked down the sources.

Surely that's the way forward, to better integrate any new functionality (not saying it'll be easy).

Well of course, that's a given... If you see the convo I had with the dev...
He does make a good point, that little can be done until the editing for CA's done, or almost done.
Then we can move towards what you're suggesting. But good idea to start thinking about it now.

Speaking of which, do we know whether there's any movement on that front? If not, do we know if anyone is (game to) port gnumeric?

Contacted the dev asking for an update about this (post not approved yet):

Doubt much will ever come of it beyond Plasma but can't hurt to ask...

I wonder how Jolla/Sailfish will take care of document viewing (/editing). Could they be using Calligra as a base for their viewer?

@OVK

Put it in the appropriate Google doc please (if it's not there).
And feel free to discuss further in the thread for discussing those docs:
