If it isn't powered by Mer, it isn't worth interest ;) A big no-no for another "big bad browser" OS. we've been through this with WebOS, haven't we?

lol at the task switcher....
Anyway, now that I have my eye candy phone, I'm not buying another until one comes with:
- hwk
- intel soc (open drivers hopefully)
- open bootloader

Not sure if I like it. Looks far too derivative of many different OS's out there. Needs to be more innovative.

X11 + GLESv2/EGL drivers for it and glibc, I would take that phone in a heartbeat if it was hackable..

As far as I know the i9500 is supposed to be the Samsung Galaxy S3 and I don't think that Samsung would release a flagship device with anything but Android.
While I really hope it is not, I think this is a fake ...

Well, yeah the task switcher is quite basic but actually pretty efficient:
  • you can list more application windows at once
  • you don't have to show/generate window thumbnails

But window thumbnails:
  • are a better metaphor IMO
  • are larger -> easier to press, making application switching faster

The whole GUI looks like basic - so what, as long there are no glaring usability mistakes. :)

I might consider porting my applications - provided there are Python bindings for Qt (or some other toolkit) available on Tizen. :)

Well, you being Chuck Norris probably know everything about it, but the rest of us can only comment about what we can see.

What is your comment on those screenshots then?

And dim the lights will ya?

You are right. I know lots of things. ;)

My comment? Sit back and relax. Have a beer and wait for confirmation from samsung. I9500 might be SGlll and this GUI might be a demo...
