My white 64GB swiss device still didn't get PR1.1 officially - I put the fw for a black one on it...

How could your device figure out its white?
Did you have to hold it in front of a mirror and take a picture before it proceeded with flashing???

In Switzerland, we got the update through Software Updater. So you have to get hold of a windows machine and update through it. That is how I updated mine.
