Re: [REF]N9 RM-696 Service manual (L1+L2) and schematics
i looked at the schematic, the fmant comes out of the headphne amplifier. it is hooked up to the same lines as headphone output transformer. i dont know the model no of headphone amplifier and BOB. if we can find datasheets for the headphone amp it would be helpful. Bob it seems like is the WLAN/BT chip some of them support FM output.
Interesting, in the schematic, there is no picture of the Top. Only the bottom. |
Re: [REF]N9 RM-696 Service manual (L1+L2) and schematics
The FMANT is the input from the headset lead for an integral radio receiver - it is not for TX purposes.

There are WLAN chips that support FMtx, do you know what part no is in the N9?

Re: [REF]N9 RM-696 Service manual (L1+L2) and schematics
I found the part no. its TI wl1271 from the "aircrack" thread. Its solds as a "wireless connectivity solution" by ti. I found some promising signals stuff here.
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index....ivity_Platform Specifically: FM Antenna FM_RX_ ANT To an FM antenna on the board RF connector FM Antenna FM_TX_ ANT To an FM antenna on the board RF connector So only one ANT input is shown on the schematic. If this a BGA type chip, and the TX_ANT was left unconnected it would be impossible to mod it in. Besides audio input signals and control and such. i dont see this signal listed on the schematic on page 7 on N6301, its not a common practice but since its a "service" schematic, it may have been left off. BTW, that CAN halfway down in that above picture is under where the wifi lies. |

FM Antenna FM_RX_ ANT To an FM antenna on the board RF connector
FM Antenna FM_TX_ ANT To an FM antenna on the board RF connector But, as I have read somewhere here in forum about FM TX, someone said that there is no antenna for TX, just pinout. Donno if I am right... |
