TAR only packs files together. GZIP (or BZIP2) actually compress files. Usually you pack files together as a .tar file and then compress the .tar file to a .tar.gz (or .tgz) file. See here for a reference: http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?tar (or just google "man tar"). As an example, if you have a directory called "packme" and you want to pack it you'd do: Code:
$ tar -cf package.tar packme Code:
$ tar -czf package.tar.gz packme |

, somehow got lost when i uninstaled android with automatic uninstaler so all the titles are now ****ed up, for instance the clock shows wdgt_va_24h_time instead of the actual time

glad to see that there are still new users of the N900. I've had mine for more than two yrs and even tho I have a N9, I still get amazed by this device!
