Re: Pictures' not showing up on gallery.
i'm sure the the version of fastern9 giving problems is 0.0.2 or earlier not the latest 0.9.4.

Re: Pictures' not showing up on gallery.
For me this worked;
I noticed that after a rename a picture showed up again. Also when I rotated a picture. So I connected the N9 to my PC and used digiKam to 'batch-rename' all 305 pics and they were indexed again ! Moved the pics back to the N9, problem solved. |

Its quite easy and takes only 10min to do :D First i have some screenshots to help: http://talk.maemo.org/attachment.php...1&d=1376690048 http://talk.maemo.org/attachment.php...1&d=1376690048 The first image is what my gallery was showing, just videos. The second image is the file that is broken! Use FileCase or FileBox to navigate to the "home/user/.config/" folder. In there you will see a file named "user-dirs.dirs". You can open it with the Docs app, and if it is broken it will show just like my image. Next thing you need a text editor to edit this file, or create a new one at your computer or mobile with this lines of code: # This file is written by xdg-user-dirs-update # If you want to change or add directories, just edit the line you're # interested in. All local changes will be retained on the next run # Format is XDG_xxx_DIR="$HOME/yyy", where yyy is a shell-escaped # homedir-relative path, or XDG_xxx_DIR="/yyy", where /yyy is an # absolute path. No other format is supported. # XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop" XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/Download" XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/Templates" XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR="$HOME/Public" XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/Documents" XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/Music" XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/Pictures" XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/Videos" After the creation of the file, save it with the same name "user-dirs.dirs" and remove the .txt extension. You can also customize the folders if you wish, although i see no point in that. Now the brower downloads works again, but the images are still not appearing at the gallery. The last thing you have to do, using FileCase or FileBox, rename the Pictures and DCIM folders to .Pictures and .DCIM. This will make them hidden. Rename again without the dot and open gallery. Images appear! The only data you will lose is the Favorite tag on the images :D Hope you guys find this useful. |
