If someone can even make it for MeeGo getting it to work on Harmattan will not be that big of a job. I'm not saying it will be easy, but it will be within our reach.

AFAIK the company behind ACL can add this layer to almost any contemporary platform but "Not for Free"... the OEM has to pay them...

why not file a Petition to our OEM

if NOKIA is kind enough to pay for ACL on N9
we can expect ACL in near future firmware upgrade :)

as its not impossible for NOKIA
& Not even comes close to "THE GREAT CONTRACT:mad:"

Man, Nokia will not budge on anything Harmattan based. The sooner it dies, the faster they can do more for WP8. That's their strategy going forward until something major changes...

Thatīs very true and obvious...
Gerbick, what do you imagine of WP8 and Nokia? Could it finally be something bearable?

Not in the least. It'll be a walled garden no matter what and here, we're an open source, open range type of group.

It will not make any of us happy. And WP8 is a gamble that might not make many others happy, including the legacy Microsoft Windows customers.

I don't see too much of a win for any of us; Nokia fan or Windows user or computer user for that matter.

Im not sure what you are talking about here. This layer is not free to port anywhere! And its still NOT available for Tizen devices! No confermation is available, no consumer devices either. just a quick demo and that means nothing. The day when Samsung intel or any other vendor include this in their devices you can ask this, but its not gonna happen since this is not a free layer.

Sorry for ruin your party.

IIRC OpenMobile was working with HP to port it to webOS. Given the obsoleteness of the platform, i assume nothing will come out of it.

But we can install The real meego on the N9. So if this is going to be only on Tizen and real Meego. We will get this by installing the real meego to the N9 ;). Maybe dualboot?

What if we set up some sort of donation drive to raise the money for it ourselves?

But that would be completely pointless as you can already dualboot to NITDroid... :/
