I just manually updated 3 or 4 packages on my phone with those from extras-testing, without enabling any repo. Facebook widget and picture sharing works just fine now.

how do you update when your repos are disabled?

Enable the repository, update and immediatly disable it again ;)
Note: do not upgrade all packages at once when you enable extras-devel.

Go to here and download packages via web browser.

You are better to enable the repo's and not upgrade as above.

I actually use my own little script to scp my pictures to my own server but I have to specify the filename as parameter manually. How cool would it be if I could send it directly from the gallery!

"command line sharing" - sharing-cli package:
http://maemo.org/packages/view/sharing-cli/
  • 1. Install it
  • 2. Settings -> Sharing accounts -> Command Line Sharing
  • 3. Your command, example for uploading to ftp: "ncftpput -u username -p password 10.0.0.1 / %s"
But it's only one command for one type of sharing...

Also you can use "Hamster Filer" ;)
