Re: Nokia N900 Keeps rebooting and can't be flashed.
Its quite possible your USB port is somehow faulty and that is causing the phone not to be picked up when you connect it to the PC (and so the phone then tries to start up normally, hits whatever is causing the reboot loop and then reboots)

A drained battery can easily result in a boot loop. The boot process starts, hits the point with a bigger current drain (e.g. when the screen or the vibrator turns on), the voltage drops below a critical level... boom! A reboot! An external charger is always useful (to be gentle on your USB connector) but you can try without it first. Just turn the phone off, wait at least 10 seconds and then plug in the charger. The phone should vibrate, a dark Nokia logo appears on the screen for a few seconds, an orange light should start fading in and out and nothing else. About two hours later, the LED turns green. Unplug the charger and turn the phone on to see if you still have a boot loop. Hopefully flashing won't be necessary. With a drained battery, flashing is not possible anyway. |
