Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
It says now
Code:
Charging battery, 3 % battery level (11 % required). Ctrl-c to exit |
Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
So my suspicions were right...The battery had discharged too much...
Yes it will update at every 1% increase...It'll take some time for it to get to 10% (maybe 20-30mins) since it had drained too much but keep a close eye on it as you don't want it to be flashed and reset your phone... |

So what happened is it did not have even power to boot up, even to start charging it needed to boot kernel. So when I plunged it in to charge it did not have enough power to start the charge ? |
Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
yes you are right so it needed a kickstart that a wall unit cannot provide but flasher can since it assumes a flash needs to be performed hence it transmits enough power for the kickstart

Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
Ok it did hit 10% and then i nu-pluged it and connected to the wall and it still kept re-booting.
So i used the flasher -f -F rootfs.bin again and it now started with 4% battery instead of 3%. So it seems i will need to repeat this a few times |
Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
when u want to unplug it just press Ctrl+c and then unplug...It should not need to be repeated but try it once more and then report back...

Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
keep flasher running and your battery charging to 11% slowly.
then, the flashing process will be continued. btw, my n9 modem failed unexpectedly due to hardware issue conformed today, and sent back factory for maintenance. Oh man, I was gtalking normally with my GF that day 08-05. I'm so depressed with both the poor nokia sw/hw qualities, man. nokia is truly going straight to hell. |
Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
Well at 10 % it still failed to boot, so i'm just going to re flash it
|
Re: N9 won't turn on, Please help!!! :(
no no he doesnt want to get it flashed...
mariusmssj just ensure your usb connection is steady so that flasher doesn't report incorrect values...this process is going to take some time so no worries... Edit: Also you are not the first person to face the issue of battery being fully discharged...it has occurred many times if you search around so just search and see how long it takes typically...flashing should be a last resort not a go-to whenever something doesnt seem right on the n9... |
