Is it possible to run an Android app on Nokia N9 without changing the kernel? Such as, Android dialer? Or it there any other non-default dialer which can be run on N9? Or can dialling be done through X-Terminal and ofono directly?

You will still need some way to stop the current telephony stack and start ofono.

By the way, the dialer is nothing special. All it does is pass commands to BB5. If the DBus interfaces for the dialer are still in Harmattan, you may try using those to send the unlock codes.

Of course you could always go to your local neighborhood backroom repairmen who have access to a FBus unlock box.

DBus on MeeGo links to Phone control with DBus. I personally recommend reading wiki page about DBus and Ofono.
