Here's an alternative which doesn't require you to install any apps. The interface isn't as fancy but it does the job. Just run the following command to serve everything beneath your working directory:

python -m SimpleHTTPServer 80
The port number is optional (default is 8000). Ports below 1024 normally require root privileges but on Harmattan you can use any port as a regular user if you run it under develsh.

Might be just my stupidity but what else do i need to do to make my n9 visible so i can browse it... cannot see it, ping it, discover it from nexus 7 on same wireless lan...?
