Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
Sorry, can you explain how in more detail? I can't figure out how to use this program, and there don't seem to be any good tutorials...
Edit: Never mind, I found a tutorial. I'm going to try it after class. |
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
Okay, I've tried two versions of Pheonix, and neither of them support the Nokia N9.
Which version of Pheonix do I need to use? |
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.

Is there anything else I can try or am I screwed? I don't understand what could have happened... |
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
Have u changed the partitions of your n9?
|
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
Also can you follow the following guide to see if anything helps: http://wiki.meego.com/N950/Fixing_MALF_state

Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
So, following the first step of the MALF guide:
Code:
Jonathans-MacBook-Air:Nokia N9 Jonathan$ sudo flasher --load -k vmlinuz-2.6.32.20112201-11.2-adaptation-n950-bootloader -n initrd.img-rescue-2.6.32.20112201-11.2-n950 --boot Huh? Quote:
However, some time ago, I DID reformat the myDocs partition to use a 4096 cluster size, as is outlined in this thread. It had seemed like a very safe (and obvious) tweak... it couldn't be what caused the problem, right? |
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
Nope the 4kB block formatting isn't an issue...
Can you use fdisk to check if its detected in the first place? Then maybe you have to mount them manually? |
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
What is the syntax I use to do that?
Sorry, I'm trying to use Google instead of asking here but I'm not having much success... |
Re: N9 bricked, cannot be flashed.
I'm not sure on mac but on ubuntu i would do fdisk -l or use gparted to check for detected but unmounted partitions...
