Read first post or start program with "--help" and the miracle happens:

It's supposed to work but its not working for me for sites other than in the list.
My brother was trying to download few videos from some website but it didnt download them.

/media/mmc1 $ movgrab -t generic -n 2 http://www.gogoanime.com
/to-love-ru-episode-14

Formats available for this Movie:flv (0.0 ),

Selected format item:flv

Getting: To Love-Ru Episode 14 English ...  Size: 1.0k  Format: flv
        Progress: 180.83%  1.9k of 1.0k    ETA: -35791394:-8
/media/mmc1 $

detects but cant download.
thats why i asked does it works for sites with multiple embedded video

Okay, with this information having given in first post would have saved from you from my little rant ;) Sorry for that.

It seems like the link on the site refers to another site where to download the video from (just like a lot of file sharers do).
So I do not believe that movgrab is able to handle that. It can download videos only from sites where video is directly "embedded". But I am not the developer nor maintainer, so see this as an educated guess.

Thanks a lot for this little big gem - using it, after just few minutes (of learning syntax and/or field tests) I was able to download things that never wanted to work by *any* other tools, including famous cutetube.

To the ^^^ above - you're using -t generic, which assumes video is embedded in normal (youtube'ishj way. Considering, that your video site isn't on list of officially supported ones, you may want to try other -t types - odds are, that your site uses same method, as other existing (and supported by movgrab) services. It's unlikely, that they have deployed own method, incompatible with everything else.

it's in your root folder.
you should cd to folder before using movgrab to save file to your desired folder.

Hallo!

this app looks like what I'm searching for since long!
But I couldn' t make it work with vimeo.
I get to the page where the video is,
then copy the url and do:

$ movgrab 'url'

But the answer is :

FAILED TO GET DOCUMENT REFERENCE!

Do you have any idea about!?
Thanks a lot!
