But with Inception you have ariadne installed as an substitutte for opensh as I understand it. What is then the different between this and your second VS (opensh)?

opensh doesnt ask any passwords and can be used in scripts more easily and gives all capabilities

vs

andriane asks passwords and and session is valid only for some time. Harder to put into scripts, but is considered more secure because you need to enter a password before it gives you the capas.

Both ways gives you full capas, but its just alternative ways how people prefer to gain full privileges.

has never happened to me. In secure and in openmode if ram is low, then out of memory handler kills the processes untill there is enough memory for primary processes.

Yes, you can trigger openmode even without flashing anything, ie if you ramload any kernel with -b and without -f flash, it also triggers open mode, that way you are in openmode with stock kernel.

Obvious, now that yout told me ;)

This thread seems to become the wiki of open mode vs inception.
Just one more post how to enable it, like

remove warranty warning
flash firmware, do NOT reboot
flash (or load) open mode kernel

and it would be almost complete. :)
Thanks rainisto

And tmavica, your problem is maybe more related to usage of FasterN9 or N9Qtweak or ... ?

TMavica 2013-05-05 12:12

No fastern9. Just clean reflash, then flash open mode kernel, somrtimes after install apps, all running apps closed

maybe i miss sth?

Thank you for info. :)
Last question:
I had Inception using lock code then I installed default open mode to get max. use of Faster N9 but then missed lock code access.
So I can't have both Open mode and lock code access in any way?
