First of all, remember, that you need good diodes setup between solar panel and battery - otherwise, when in shadow, voltage from battery starts to kill panel itself. And it does it pretty fast, 30 minutes are enough to turn perfectly working panel into junk.
You may not notice, as for multimeter-tests it will look healthy - giving voltage etc - but under load, voltage will collapse orders of magnitude more/quicker, than it should. Now, if I would be to construct solar/wind charger, I would - for sure - use good (yet cheap as ice) voltage regulator, *and* very small LiIon cell - not for storage purposes, but as additional layer of voltage/current filtering. It can be even as small as 100 mAh, it doesn't matter, for that purpose. /Estel |

This is all very neat but how about the original question? Can the charging notifications - with associated turning the screen on - be disabled?
