Well, its not. You can always consider laser treatment :p
Nasty side-effect of that is that you will not be able to participate to "movenber", alltough you can allways get a glue-on mustache

No, I already have a whole beard growing :D
And anyway, I went to the barber today and got my whole facial hair shaved, so not a problem now :p

Maybe The Other Half could be a shaver (the vibration motor should do a nice job there, too. And too)? Or a straight razor?

Vibration motor is used by single girls, for specific reasons, not boys.
So, a razor would be good.

Only kidding lad, it happens to us all apparently? I am 34 and still only have to buy one pack of razors a year :( Still get asked for ID too.
