Re: GPS Navigation with N900

You need to have MM10 already installed, there is a hacked "drive" binary along with Europe.mlm floating over the inet which allows *ANY* MM10 map to be used(Android maps included).

I can upload it on request via PM, put please don't flood my PM inbox :)

NOTE:
I don't like pirating software, I paid for MM10 and Sygic promised to support MM10 on Maemo and after this didn't happen while they continue to spam my e-mail with offers related to their great SW running on Android, they've lost all my respect ;)

Don't know about the other countries, but for Bulgaria it makes all the difference (17MB vs 2MB)

Wow thanks everyone for all the information from all around the world. I have lots to thinking and looking to do.

What a great and helpful forum.

I really like my N900 and it would have been nice if Nokia would have made more apps for it. I think its a great form and it a shame they didn't continue to improve it.

Thanks,
Bobby

You should not forget Marble. It can do offline routing (wtth Monav daemon) and also has voice guidance.

Is MM10 still receiving map updates?
I could use V8.24 maps from an Android/Symbian/WinMobile setup, but those maps where dated 2011-3.
I doubt non MM10 maps can be used...
