If it's true that the device cannot start up a charge from flat, it's quite a serious bug and needs to be addressed. Given its current power consumption, the battery can easily go flat rather quickly; I observed an 11%-point drop (from 20% to 9%) in a 45 minute Facebook chat. Most phones are able to take power from USB alone and charge a flat battery.

It's wasn't due to battery being depleted; it was in the charger the whole night.

The problem was a corrupted filesystem. It has been solved and the Jolla lives again !

So you can make file system corrupt with over charing. Something isn't right in this story...

Probably because the battery was removed while the device was switched on.
I still wonder how such a bad corruption can occur with btrfs. Or was it some other non-btrfs partition essential for booting?
