But any sane Linux distribution support sane C++ (not crappy Android NDK), has some sane package management (Android has apks). Btw. Android's kernel is far away from upstream.

PM received and answered. To clarify, 'need' was Dave's initiative and is too strong a word. I may 'want' one but I do not really 'need' one. I never asked Dave to plead on my behalf. So please do not feel obliged to sell to me, feel free to list on eBay where it might fetch you more than my budget allows.
