My phone was stolen again and I'm not planning buy another one since there's no more support from Jolla.
It was a nice time, but it's time to move on.

Regards!

PS: Mods can move this thread to right section if you want.

revert back to MeeGo [hope]

I don't have my n9. I gave it to my mother, then she helps me fixing my car, so I can't ask her for it.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

You'll be missed by people you've never even heard of. May your future hold (at the very least) a more safe way to work.

This might sound selfish (sailfish, hah – sorry), but would you consider "donating" FileCase/FlowPlayer to the Community by uploading it to GitHub? Even if no one's available to take over development, I guess there is a lot to learn from the sources for Newbies.

Well experience that Saiflish stands or falls with the physical availability of this China hardware platform called Jolla phone..

As long as it is in our hand it is usable for thousands of people.

No more software support from Jolla is sad but it means more support needed from you.

I am still on 1.7.28 and after testing 2.0 preview I already decided that it was N900 / N9 all over again -sing it out with unsupported software- because of the road Jolla was apparently taking with their design choices.

Till my Jolla disintegrates (which of course it might do quicker than an N900) I hope t be running my applications.

Call recorder, Quasar MX, Jockr, Firefox, ...
I only need a few applications - and am allergic to app stores.

Will pay for something I like 10 fold of typical app price.

Maybe this is of no interest of serious developers but I just want to draw that however small, there is a market.

Who needs Jolla anyway? Jolla phone just works. It runs applications and has good battery life.

Where is the time that we would check our phone firmware with obscure codes and decide the other person was more lucky because his was more recent :D

@cepi
This is not only a pity but a real bad luck for you personally and would be a big loss for this community.
So what if we start a fund raiser for a N9/Jolla for you?
We would need to know how to get that phone to Argentina, remembering last time's failure. ( how did you get your 'current' lost Jolla to your place?)

Q1: How much would it cost you to get a new Jolla in Argentina?
Q2: do you have Paypal?
Q3: does anyone (HtheB) volunteer to be a Paypal-proxy (IBAN to Paypal) for me?

Cheers.

Re: Good bye Sailfish

Q3: I do! (However please check IBAN fees between DE and UK first)

EDIT: Provided I understand it correctly: you want to send IBAN to person X who would forward it via PayPal to Cepi. If I got it wrong, then please ignore this noise :o
