For those asking why do you need the facebook, gmail, twitter etc. for on N9, I'd like to turn this the otherway around: What the hell do you need an "N9 smartphone" for if you do not use those services? I mean the browser is basically not usable anyways, so that leaves you with calling and texting. :D Ok, N9 also has an calculator...

No need to answer, I know you guys hang around at TMO all day, so that's what the smartphone is for.

compiling own aps/tools etc. Since N9 is (relatively) open, and linux based, it gives me loads of options outside the sociality athmosphere.

short. Its easy to hack to make it behave like I want.

I have two factor authentication and use gmail without any problem.
1. Just head over to app passwords section.
2. Generate a password, enter it on your phone when it asks for it, Done.

For those who do not have 2 factor authentication, enable access for less secure apps.

I don't know the current state (if any) development there is on it..
I gotta admit when face with a choice between tinder and "find and make sex" homegrown maemo app...

- that gaping hole is the only hope left for TMO.
If we ever finnish the FSA software there will be no reason to go on living here.
As long as FSA remains in development we can always point to it as a raison d'etre

I gotta admit you may be on to something there...
an open sauce FSA (love the abbrev.) actually may have detrimental effects far surpassing just tmo here...
I actually just thought about it...
why...
I imagine I'd be posting faaaarrrr less here if FSA were working...
