Re: SailfishOS on Oneplus One

According to articles I am starting to see the One Plus 3 will have either 4 gb or 6 gb of ram and come in either 32gb or 64gb of memory. Also power by the Sd 820 processor.

This device is begging for development. Here is some more info. OEM encourages development, source code provided, warranty is not voided if rooted.Top notch camera, SD 820 is as good as it gets out there. 6 gb ram. Down side is cannot remove battery and no card slot...

Why not one plus x ? Port already exists and works like a charm, the device has a lower price and is not a saucepan

One plus x is being discontinued.

Not that it should necessarily stop anybody from developing on it but might as well go with something that has more future support.
Guess I'm not up on all current vernacular but what does "saucepan" mean? Thanks!

I think he meant one plus x is more compact. In fact it is one of the few compact phones around with good internal specs.

Unfortunatly sensors missing. I really would like to have orientation. ;)

Then title is misleading. States "SailfishOS on OnePlus One" and not "SailfishOS on OnePlus 3". Advanced edit perhaps to avoid confusion?

This thread was started about support for the One + 1 and I added a post about that One + is coming out with a 3rd model. Sorry I did not mean to hijack this thread or confuse anyone.

Really sry to ask something totally irrelevant here.. I dont know if I am allowed to start a new thread.. Since all you people are some kind of technical experts, can anyone please tell me if anyone has tried porting Sailfish to Mi5? Its compact and has better specs and better battery. Now I wouldnt want to start a debate as to whether it is better than Oneplus X.. I am just curious if this has been attempted before. Thanks in advance.
