Re: How to record a video of what is seen on the device
Instructions (tablet version needs fixing, resolution is too high... so it won't work, but... I just came from post office with my brand new Jolla tablet so I may have a look at it that I have now the actual hardware):
1. Connect your Jolla phone into a wifi network 2. Start SailCast and press start 3. Connect a device which is capable of running VLC to the same network 4. Open VLC 5. Click Media -> Convert / Save ... 6. Select network tab 7. Write the stream address to the field (e.g. http://192.168.2.14:44534) 8. Click convert/save and provide a filename 9. Press start |
Re: How to record a video of what is seen on the device
This application displays your cellular network IP adress when WiFi is turned off and 3/4G is on. Does this mean that it's also possible to stream over an USB network connect?

what the problem to save on device?

Re: How to record a video of what is seen on the device
The app is just a fast hack to stream mjpeg over http. USB network should work too. Cellular network latency might be too big to stream reliably. Saving directly to the phone requires likely gstreamer and that's not implemented.
