In very bad conditions:

You may have already tried it, but couldn't it be powered from USB only, without a battery at all ?

When i plug usb without battery with:

Jolla C: reboot in loop after sfos logo
Jolla: vibrate all the time without access home.
808 pv: no boot at all
N9: ? I don't try.
