Kmplayer updated just fine and dandy. WTF, Nokia?
Had to "upgrade" Skype from the command line using 'apt-get install skype-ui' since the app manager is broken with that repository.

Worked for me. The only problem I've had with it is it seems to ignore the headphones. Still uses the internal mike.

Works fine for me in every respect, as did the previous version.
To me it seems like this version has more setting categories in preferences, but it could just as well be that I overlooked some of them in the past.

A difference I noticed is that Skype-out numbers are now at the bottom of the list of contacts.

Re: New Skype Update Available (1.7.43.38.2)

Not trying to revive a dead thread, but I didn't find any issues posted related to this version... yet on my N800 (latest OS2007) I cannot make calls longer than 2-3 minutes without a silent skype crash.
I definitely rememeber the first day I installed Skype I made a call that lasted > 3hours with no prob....
There must be a conflict between Skype and another app that I installed afterwards, since deleting the .Skype folder or re-installing Skype did not help.

Anyone can help me before I get too desperate :)

For now I'm using Google Talk but the voice quality is not the same as with Skype.

Thanks...

i seem to be having the same problem. my calls only last about a second though once the other party picks up, and i'm not sure what app might be causing the conflict, but it might be pidgin. i think that's the only app i've installed both times.

I have used Skype sucessfully for voice in the past on my N800.

With the current Skype version running on OS 2008 beta on my N800 I confirm that for me it always crashes between 30 seconds to 2 mins into a voice call.
(Works fine for chat, to advise the person you called that it crashed on N800 and you have re-started the app :) )

---edit--- Please Note: The version of Skype I am running on N800 with beta OS2008 is 10017/1.7.62.48.3

Using IT OS 2007 on a N800, Skype will crash every 10 minutes or so.

I am unable to quit the application, no matter how long I wait, and need to force shut down the entire tablet and reboot.
