Don t know if you can point better players?
I am not too sure about my own standard but if I had to draw a scale from 0 to 10 for rating pure music enjoyment be it with headphones or connected to aux input of true hifi, Jolla 1 and Nokia 808 would be on oposite sides.

That's because in many 'cheap' devices headphones can be part of the DAC filter ...

Yes. It's IMHO. And all other opinions are subjective. I haven't special equipement for audio tests.
Then there are headphones, formats(wav, flac, mp3) etc...

But I haven't PROBLEMS with sound playback.

P.S. But camera/photo is weak part even for me :-(

I used the XPeria X with Android for about two months before switching to SailfishOS, but I didn't notice any difference in audio quality.

Hmm wait, I did. Sony's audio enhancing technology produced such a bad and flat sound that I switched it off the moment I found it in the settings on Android.
