That's because in many 'cheap' devices headphones can be part of the DAC filter ...

I used the XPeria X with Android for about two months before switching to SailfishOS, but I didn't notice any difference in audio quality.
Hmm wait, I did. Sony's audio enhancing technology produced such a bad and flat sound that I switched it off the moment I found it in the settings on Android. |
