Do you suspect that you possibly found these artifacts in an unlikely site (a non-battlefield) because it's unlikely? I know very little about treasure hunting and this thought occurred to me because I wondered if my might have some family fun getting a metal detector like yours and go scanning a nearby known battlefield. But then the other part of my brain thought (light bulb) wouldn't everybody have already been out there looking for the last 150 years and picked it clean? The site I had in mind has in the the intervening time been a golf course, a city park, and a location of a non-lethal Cristo installation.

Anyway, on an unrelated but on-topic subject, I present me three-of-a-kind entry for the month: "Easter Egg Hunt". The exciting back story: I had to avoid being trampled by actual children when shooting these "hidden" eggs in the younger-than-kindergarten category of the event.

In my day, we often used actual dyed hens' eggs, but modern children are considerably more motivated by these plastic ones containing candy and trinkets. (Also they don't rot if left unfound for a year.)

IIRC, mosen had offered to host images if any of our users didn't have access to other alternatives. I didn't mention that when I made the contest announcement since I didn't want to commit him to that in perpetuity without his permission.

I'd either try lighting the "sushi-signal" or perhaps just pm-ing mosen to see if that deal was still good and how to work it.

What is going on the pic links here on TMO? Looks like a link removal . But only after some time frame.
I could click the original link from pentona and robthebold in their original post. Now they are vanished but pics are still available on their original link location via the quoted posts of these two.
Does it have to do with https://forumfiles.com?

It is literally no work to me since i just rightclick your attached image in my mailclient and save to mounted webspace. So the file you send to photocomp at mosushi de will be available under same filename at https://mosushi.de/misc/photocomp/... after i discover the email.
Since i am busier than i ever wanted it is wise to still use the shrinky tmo upload for direct result and send the email to me same time so you can edit your post after i notify of the upload (maybe much) later.

But as peter stated, any image service will do if you quench a direct link out of their sad cryptic dynamic cloudy urls and post with IMG tag, right?

And spfoo's pic has done the disappearing thing (at least for me). Googledocs says I don't have permission . . . (edit) does that mean we're hitting a quota problem? I can still see back in this thread, the still life with three -- let's say mangoes -- and the weird fruit.

I like the color and composition, and how the light and shadow and focus ultimately draw the eye to the die in the center. (I might have said chiaroscuro and depth-of-field, but that would sound snooty and pretentious so I won't.)

A great selection of nice photos. I particularly enjoyed mosen's and pichlo's entries, and I really need to know the names of levone's sheep! (Please say they're Hansel and Gretel and Ted -- and that Alice is just out of frame.)

I like the Fellfrosch's picture 'cause I like those red dices with the light and shadows - but my vote goes to catbus. The footprints are really nice, just can imagine the lonely bird walking in his on mind, wondering life, philosophy and meaning of it all. Very unique and only one which made me feel something. So much better then my own snapshot taken from the sickbed.

This time it is really hard. The pics are VERY different. All have their own charm. But in the end I know why I asked Pentona for re-uploading his entry. Looking at it in it's small forum size it's quite unspectacular, but watching it in full size it's just beautiful. And for me it is even better than mosen's flower power.
