My 770 randomly rebooted when I disconnected from Google Talk on the new 2006OS. Damn random reboots...

What does "doesn't work" mean? Brad. |

I uninstalled it and the other apps from the repository (themes and maemoblocks) then reinstalled fbreader and all was fine. Might just be some software conflict. |
I notice several things with the new version. I can finally set a New Zealand time zone! Thank you for that Nokia. They probably did it to shut me up.
Also the upstroke capitalisation seems to be back to the way it originally was rather than the broken, fiddly version in the beta. Haven't really played with much else so far. Just trying to see if I can get NASA TV to stream so I can watch the shuttle launch later on. |

In a similar line of thought, I am hoping that the ogg support gets merged seamlessly with the current media player rather than as a separate player (or mp3 support in the ogg player if I can remove the built in player). |
Anyone know how to enable a bluetooth keyboard under OS2006?
I'm desperate! I didn't know that upgrading would lose the bluetooth plug-in! |
Pb w/ formatting MMC fixed
Something I've noticed: with the beta, I wasn't able to format my 1Gb MMC card ("card corrupted" or something like that), but it works perfectly with the "official" release. The only prtoblem: I haven't been able to rename the MMC card: it keeps labelled with "Memory Card". I'm going to reboot...
And responsiveness (?) of the virtual keyboard is much better than with the beta, it works as with OS2005. Flashed for 10 minutes now, happy for 10 minutes :-) |
agreed on all counts, mwiktowy. Although I still have hope that a sip plugin will be provided for the current voip app. SIP is supposedly supported in the full desktop version of tapioca though I have yet to test it.

On OS2005, if you set the brightness to the minimum, you will hear a disturbing "electrical" sound. (you have to be in a quite room to hear it. It's disturbing only if you are reading an ebook).
Is this issue solved in 2006? (also, the minimal brightness is not so minimal in 2005. It would be good to set it lesser) |

I took no chances and booted an old Windows laptop and had no problems at all. Although the upgrade seemed a bit slower than I recall earlier ones.
The email client's still fundamentally crap though. |

Is it my imagination, or is there a lot of wasted space to the left and right when browsing in opera non-fullscreen mode? Should't the scrollbar hug the right side edge like in fullscreen mode? This seem to be throwing me off. Can someone with 2005 OS take a screenshot of web browsing in non-fullscreen mode?

And tap the Realmedia stream. You can open it in the video player. |

Also, I'm beginning to suspect the wireless has regressed - am having trouble connecting to one of two wireless routers configured in WDS mode. Can connect no problem if I walk to one of the routers, but can't connect when I'm standing next to the second router. Also, wireless connectivity is lost if the 770 is left idle or the cover replaced. |

Just before the screen is blanked due to inactivity, it is dimmed to a level about 50% of the lowest brightness which can be selected. I'd really like to be able to select that level, but what the 2006 OS provides is acceptable. |
flashing problem?
hi. just downloaded the image.
But flashing does not work with the ./flasher -F SU-18_2006SE_1.2006.26-8_PR_F5_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R command when using the flashr downloaded from the http://www.maemo.org/downloads/d3.php. directory. Neither without the -F param. I am using Suse 10.000000000 Which Flasher do u use? And how? thnx a lot! m. |

BlueTooth Connectivity Improvement
I am very happy after waiting for the Offical release and bypassing the BETA. So my enthusiasm will be a bit more exuberant then with most. But when I can PAIR with my Cingular 2125, running WINDOWS MOBILE 5 for Smartphone, Im doing backflips. In my case that was a huge issue. And becase most all of the Win Mobile devices had the same error, I am willing to bet that this will add a slew of new devices that are now capable of PAIRING with the NOKIA 770.
Next, I try my TREO 650 (Yes I know some did work, but it was established certain FW and HW versions would not. I had the WOULD NOT model!) |

Also, this checkbox (checked or unchecked) doesn't explain why the connection is lost while idle - the 770 still believes it is connected (antenna is shown on the system tray icon) but routes cannot be resolved until the connection is dropped and re-established. |
