1947 -- new record! I'm sure it'll still go up before the day ends.

It's also amazing that there are about 500 registered members logged on now.

Really? Do you know what time that was happening? Daily backup usually happens between 1AM - 2AM (EST).

1982 now btw.

We peaked yesterday at 1,982. Is today the day we break 2,000?

Hmm. So perhaps that's why the site kind of grinds to a halt? Very slow to update momentarily.

Must be due to the mass emails being sent today about the Community Council Elections (plus MeeGo of course). Members are clicking on the links in the email and everyone is visiting TMO all at the same time.

The N900 been getting some free plug-ins in several reviews on a few gadget sites in US reviewing other smart phones. it might be the curious folks wondering between the iphone-android talk.

So were you deliberately stalling about any restructure to the tmo forums because you had been informed that things (MeeGo) were going to change and a restructuring of the maemo.org forums was a moot idea as it would be obsolete soon?

C'mon, Occam's razor. Problems with the central monitoring system had allowed fluoride levels to drop in parts of the mid-west, and as a result, several people had been able to notice the population monitoring cameras and microphones in their digital converter boxes. Reggie was busy "dealing with" the problem. Forum administration is just a hobby of his.

Aargh, the server is almost up to its capacity. There are just too much people at TMO right now, plus the server is under DDoS attack (great timing).

Anyway, expect slowness and unresponsiveness.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

DDoS to maemo.org - hm that maybe the reason to change the domain over to meego :-) Good look guys - I hope you do not have to close all ports...

*Sends Reggie a bear hug and furry paw massage to soothe hims through the DDoS attack*

That sucks - talk about timing!

Re: What's up today? Max number of users record broken

Host will put the server in temporary Cisco Guard and it should take effect in a few hours. Hopefully that solves the problem. Right now, the server load is still way up there.

Thanks.

We try to block spammers the best we could but if ever you see spam posts, please report the post and we'll make sure to ban the member and block it's IP. It's IP and email address will then be sent to a common spam database that a lot of forum sites are sharing.

Thanks to those who have been continually reporting spam posts.
