how do we update the plug in to 0.8

its ok just read its it extras dev i try to stay out of there :-) any idear when it will be in the normal download sections :-)

hmmmm....it works...but needs refining like all the IM plugins do....

This plugin seems to add your Facebook contacts to your address book, but only those online at the time?

It also reproduces every IM under the same name if you close the conversation, once it restarts....thats a big bug.
If you keep the conversation open, it does not duplicate IMs.

I notice all IM plugins have a little failure at the mo to allow a user to remove/delete contacts if desired, without them coming back again.

The MSN plugin even imports blocked contacts into the address book, which just reappear if you delete them.

This is progress...but it needs lots of work yet.

Another bug, is that contacts from Facebook keep making new contact cards, every time you reboot...even if you merge previous duplicates, it still makes a new contact card.

That, and when you end a conversation with someone or minimise the conversations app, all the conversation, including IMs from both people, are changed to as if said by just one person, stuffing the message history.

Hmmmmmmm......is the dev in this thread?

I guess the dev is Jonny Lamb, and he stated in a post somewhere that bugs should be reported in Bugzilla, and not in talk threads.

Note: the workaround I'm using for all facebook chat plugin bugs is to use the Jabber plugin instead (built into N900 by default)
