I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but the case from Nokia when it first came out is pretty nice. I ordered it from Amazon.de when I first got the phone a year ago, and it has been great. Kind of sucks trying to get the phone out fast, but it's a nice fit.

Otterbox is great for protection but is a little tough on your face if you use the phone as a phone without a headset. There is a slightly sharpend ridge on the raised front portion which the flesh of your face will grow to hate. Easy enough to use a headset instead.
The topcover forces larger fingers down when trying to press the keys in the top row of the keyboard. It does cause you to make more typos at first until you learn to adjust to it.
The silicone inside of the case does a tremendous job of preventing scratches and wear as well as absorbing impacts from drops.

Does have it's flaws but nothing that can't be tweaked or grown accustomed to.
Definitely the best -all things considered- around IMO....

Jalyst - Even with my few complaints the Otterbox is still on my N900 and will continue to be thanks to the tremendous protection it offers.

I ordered 2 cases for testing:
bugatti "inMotion" Silverline for N900

and
bugatti Travel One Size for N900

which is a hardcase.

So far I like the hardcase bugatti Travel One Size better.
At first I had the impression that it closes a bit hard, but this
was only a matter of using it a bit more.
There are ~5mm between N900 and the zipper so I cannot
say that it is too small.
It is also a good hard case if you do some sports were
N900 needs to be protected.

I already have two cases - one has been adapted for my in-car windscreen mount, the other I use on one of my N900's... :)

I must say, the case looks really rugged, solid and well made. can't wait to break these in (no pun intended) when i go out.

i love that it has plugs for the sockets to prevent from dust and has provisions to even let you still use a phone strap. awesome!

Hahaha. been using it already, although i'm not yet used to carrying the fone around without a book case type cover which kinda protects the screen, i think ill get used to it. did not use the screen protector that came with it. planning to get a privacy type screen protector. any of you guys have that on your phones?

i went with zagg invisbleshield for screen protector, haven't yet installed it.
Did a lot of reading/research on peoples feeling about SP's 1st...

My N900's have the Invisible Shield (full body protection); so far no impact with regard to responsiveness to touch in my experience. I'm looking at replacing the touch screen protector with a matte one though, since the one from Invisible Shield (while protects well) is the glossy type.

Yeah been meaning to get a matte SP eventually too.
In case the glossy starts to annoy me too much, but one thing at a time I guess :)

Same here using a cheap matte finish sp. does the job wheel, it does have nasty peel marks at the edges but i am not too bothered by it.

The only problem is that the handle of the zipper broke last weekend.
They should have enforced the whole zipper a bit as it is used quite often (of course).

Are there any other cases like this (I do not like Otterbox)?
I need a completely closed hard case for my N900 and afaics only the bugatti hardcase is small, closed.
