[QUOTE=xenon-elite;594043]My Nokia N900 Will No Longer Flash The eMMC Image After Installing The MeeGo FirmWare, I Flashed Back To Maemo, But It Will Not Allow eMMC To Flash Here's What I Get,
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:\Documents and Settings\Xenon-Elite>cd C:\flash C:\flash>flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R flasher v2.5.2 (Sep 24 2009) Image 'mmc', size 241163 kB Version RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA Suitable USB device not found, waiting. USB device found found at bus bus-0, device address \\.\libusb0-0001--0x0421-0x0 105. Found device RX-51, hardware revision 2101 NOLO version 1.4.14 Version of 'sw-release': RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_MR0 Booting device into flash mode. Suitable USB device not found, waiting. It Finds The Phone But Will Not Flash, Any Ideas.? Thank You, Anthony-Curtis Hi Anthony. Did you resolve this problem as I seem to have it too - although rather than maemo it was android I installed. Flasher instructions do mention something about Cold flashing (for when the bootloader has changed) - and since the android dual boot is likely to have altered bootloader it may be that...I am still trying to decipher what it means though so no answer for you yet - If you resolved your problem though you could hopefully share and save me a bit of time. Re: Help With eMMC and N900 :(
I JUST had this issue!
I was trying to flash it with the vanilla image RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin and was getting stuck on Suitable USB device not found, waiting. So I tried different firmware RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin (USA?) worked for me!!!! So, if vanilla doesnt work, try your region's instead? edit: funny thing, I did flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin -f PAUSE and flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin -f -R PAUSE Yet the addresss book and all data remained on the phone - what gives? |
Re: Help With eMMC and N900 :(
Yeah cause ur not flashing the memory. Kinda handy when u have to flash it often :) Oh read it wrong. u DID flash the eMMC :D Thats weird. Maybe it stopped when the codes didnt corresponded.
But u flash it in win 7 64 bit? |

I'll try again, so eMMC, is without the -R, and should be done FIRST, disconnect phone, close flasher, take out battery, and do it all again with the -R flag cuz thats what i did  |
Re: Help With eMMC and N900 :(
Having the same issue here as well.
I can flash the firmware just fine(USA) but then when I go to flash the EMMC it just hangs up on the Waiting. I am using the LibUSB since I am running windows 7(x86) and cannot figure out why this wont work. I have tried taking out the battery and puting it back in when this happens and it just stays stuck on "Suitable USB device not found, waiting." So I read it's not doable to download a XP machine on to my pc? Is there any other way to do this, doing the firmware install does nothing but reset all of my settings, I need to do a clean wipe to be happy and start over again. ALi |
Re: Help With eMMC and N900 :(
I have had the same issue (using Windows XP 32-bit - flashing the OS image works fine, but flashing eMMC hangs waiting for a USB device).
I resolved it by using a Linux machine to flash, rather than Windows. The images being flashed were identical, but it worked from Linux with no hangs. |
