Version 1.6 uploaded to extras-devel. Additional wallpapers added to opening post :)

I'll promote version 1.6 to extras-testing soon. Don't forget to vote when it's there!

Icon backgrounds are there (like in screenshot @ opening post).
If you want to get rid of icon backgrounds just type this in terminal (must have rootsh installed)

sudo gainroot
rm /usr/share/themes/ANdroidtheme-themedir/images/ApplicationShortcutApplet.png
rm /usr/share/themes/ANdroidtheme-themedir/images/ApplicationShortcutAppletPressed.png

And then do a reboot.

Yep, another Maemo OS bug. Go into homescreen "editing" mode (click on screen and then tap on the gear icon) and select another background to use. Then close editing mode and open it up again and go selecting the background again and this time select an-DROID theme.

Edit: aah, you already got it sorted out. But I'll let this post be visible if someone else has issues after upgrading the theme and new background not to show up.

What about custom icons for standart apps?

Actually I don't know how to include 'em in same package. Joppu opened a new thread asking this very same thing and I guess if it's possible, then I just "might" do that :)

Nice theme! but AWFUL ORANGE colors on the keyboard etc.. It cheapens the N900.

Dude, different color PLEASE!!!

Thanks as always!

Well.. the virtual keyboard on PR1.1 looks kind of ugly, but it's a lot nicer with PR1.2 :)

Orange seemed to be the color of button highlights on this picture I found before starting up this theme:

Orange is nice, it's summer and everything 8-)

Re: [Release] an-DROID Theme

I absolutely love the way that contact widgets look with the separation in name and avatar. Very nice.

Is it possible for you to remove the GRAY elements and leave them BLACK?

Conversations doesn't look right with a gray border and a black inset and neither do any of the windows that get painted with the gray.

Are the colors stored in the obvious colors.config file or somewhere more dubious?

Thanks,

I suppose you haven't rebooted after selecting the theme? Conversations should NOT be colored as you described, they should be like in my attachment.

I don't want to remove the dark gray backgrounds because it looks like all lists in basic Android -device are actually gray:

Yes, I have rebooted and once I adjusted the Conversations CSS colors to match, it looks proper.

Don't suppose you'd like to make a separate black one?

Anyways, great work with all your themes dude.

kamishly 2010-05-21 14:40

Re: [Release] an-DROID Theme

Actually a WHITE one would look amazing!!!!!

There's plenty of Black themes for the N900

I figure they might be coming, since all of his great themes have multi-color packages also.

Black and white would both be an awesome option.

So great. Him and joppu are great theme makes in the community.

Thanks for the support, but I actually think that this time I'll stick with this one variation :) But anyone of you guys can download the source of the theme and modify it for your needs; the great upside of open source community.

Cool cool. I've started mixing elements from the default alpha theme. Having some troubles with color values, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

Yes it does have a unique lock screen. Did you try to reboot already?

Re: [Release] an-DROID Theme

I think that blue lockscreen looked a lot better.

I know this is a bit off topic but I am so curious I have to ask .....D-livil I noticed that you answered a post at 06.34 your local time this morning!!!..SATURDAY morning!!!! So I'm just wondering if you suffer from insomnia, find the white nights too much or have so many ideas for themes and graphics that you wake up to rush to your pc in a creative frenzy? This said I really think you deserve a Cyber Monument for all the work that you do free of charge, to make our N900 beautiful to look at. Not only this, you also accept requests and feedback, and then help anyone on these threads! I for one give you a big 'THANK YOU' you are truly unique.

Haha :D No, I'm not suffering from insomnia, I just have small kids who tend to some times wake up REALLY early ;) Yesterday I was playing a rock show and went to sleep @ 03:00 and woke up at 06:00 coz the oldest one woke me up...

But I do spend lot of night time creating graphics from bed with my N900 remotely connected to my PC, great device :)

Looks nice - the package should Depends: ttf-droid and use the Droid fonts (freely available and already packaged for Maemo).

Thats's not a bad idea! Just need to figure out how to implement it in theme... any ideas? If you download the source you see I'm using stskeeps's template on building the theme.

Absolutely mind blowing theme. Any possible way to change the lock screen wallpaper as i have changed all the rest of the 4 to the colorful ones. Please let me know if that's possible. Thanks again!

Icons are only for application manager (category icons) and they should be shown automaticly if you just open the app manager and start browsing apps to download.

Yes, it's possible. I will post instructions tomorrow (too lazy to type 'em with N900 now).

Seeing as there are no plans for an an-Droid light theme ;) I've got the brightly coloured android wallpapers on my desktops and iStyle light as a theme - a stunning combination !

The gtkrc contains the font definitions. I dunno how much flexibility is exposed to you through the template you're using.

Yep, I know that but gtkrc -file is being generated during the package building. Is it some how possible to run some kind of search + replace -function during theme installation?

I agree a white android theme is needed!!

Where did you get the brightly colored android theme and how to download it?

I never said theme - I'm using the wallpapers from d-livil's android theme, and istyle light.

The wallpapers are linked on page one of this thread.

Now available @ extras :) Thanks for voters!

Re: [Release] an-DROID Theme

you thought nobody would notice, huh? :D

BUT I DID!

your wallpaper are FRAUD! both of them that you posted in your first post are just 1 single wallpaper, the other 3 of them are just flipped and mirrored xD

other than that i really like it!!
btw, what about widgets? the personal dataplan monitor and the ip adress-widget are still having orange text, that doesnt fit the theme too much. is this theme-related or widget-related?

Re: [Release] an-DROID Theme

first of all: greaaaaat theme!!

my question is, can you change orange in blue? (i like blue more than orange ;))

p.s.: sorry for my bad english! ;)

Re: [Release] an-DROID Theme

D- Livil:

You should make the icons (the background disappear) in all your theme. Just like you did in droid theme. It looks soo good. Stick to it man!

Just a suggestion.
