Love the new camera features :) ... NIght mode in camera and video recording. Plus you can mute mic during video recording and set resolutions.

I believe (though I'm not using PR1.2 yet) that you should just start typing while looking at a list in the App. Manager to start searching, like in the Media Player.

i can confirm that searching in app manager is done by just typing the name, works in file manager too!

There are quite a few annoying bugs that have been plaguing me since I've gotten this phone (along with some regressions from other updates) that are supposed to be fixed in 1.2. Needless to say, I'm excited for that reason alone!

More stuff:

• App Manager is WAY faster
• The media player's tracker script is WAY faster
• Media player UI is better
• Calendar UI is better
• Ovi Maps has a better UI (still barely usable, though)

They are a business and they need to make money

there are plenty of free games just have a look around. Otherwise as a developer you are not going to spend ages on a game sell it to android and iphone and then give it away free on the n900

For those of us with non-UK phones that wish to reflash to install rather than do OTA can we reflash with the new firmware today or do we need to wait till tomorrow?

By far my favorit is the Qt4.6 and themes and applications i can finally download. Plus hoping to see the "Rollercoaster game", Secret Exit games in thursday and some more.

Some improvements by the new fw can't ever do anything close than example the overclocking and theme modding when we are talking about general improvements.

Another new feature is the ability to call voicemail by pressing the 1 key for a period on the phone number pad. They have also included a voicemail icon which appears in the address book when voicemail number is set up. The Icon is semi transparent too!

Long press for blue keys is one of the best new features along with much improved battery life.

I have a question with regards to OVI Maps update. If you have an address of a person in your contacts, will you be to press on the "address" button on the contact detail and OVI Maps will direct you to that address?

I have just upgraded my Nokia N900 firmware to the official PR1.2. I have a question tho:

How do I create a folder in the main menu?

I mean I did use catorise in Pr1.1 but then, the change is not really necessary; they added a new feature (change the order of apps) but then not allowing us, users, to create folders would be just pointless.

(Btw, I did start a thread about this earlier)

when unlocking mine the status bar dissappear and then appear in 2 or 3 seconds... anyone noticed that?

How did you get it to work? I install it and it still doesn't show up in the add widget list. I've done a fresh install firmware and eMMC.

try to uninstall, then re-install it.

I had the same problem, reinstall did not solve it.
Adding the "Devel" repository and update/install did.
