em, it runs just fine, but its not particularly smooth on the n900. also, did you ever tried to change the volume while the game is running? its turn to a dia show for a short time. and i guess thats just because the volume bar is being shown (in bounce, its invisible and doesnt affect framerate)

thanks :)

there you go. check the summary bit. there are different profiles. ideal uses the least voltage so battery may be better then normal
i don't take any resposibily if you break your device, its you responsibility
the worst senario would be that you have to reflash the device...

ideal profile worked on mine but when i tried it on my brother, it would keep reeboting.. every phone has a different chip. some are good then the others. so i cant tell you which one would wwork with yours.

Bounce probably has the DND flag set on the window, it might be settable externally, but I'm not sure about that.

watching an iphone user play angry birds makes you puke your balls out through your nose and it will make your eyes bleed. it's like someone user rightclick-quality-ultralow. the edges are sooo jagged! when i play next to them they look amazed

PS: im new to linux and maemo but im a quick learner :)

It can't be fixed. All that string does is enable hardware sync for the transitions. The UI is still powered by the processor, it will suck until MeeGo 1.2 goes gold in April.

Should've used Qt from the very beginning instead of wasting years pissing about with GTK!

There are some benefits of using GTK, like porting apps. You can close to compile clean Debian code to Maemo without modifications. If every app had to be Qt only, it would be another story.
Right now, we have the best of both.

How so? If you're porting GTK apps then yeah, maybe. If maemo had used Qt then porting Qt apps would be just as "easy".

And also the worst of both worlds since there is the bloat of both GTK and Qt libs. Not helped by the fact that Nokia is infamous for putting too little RAM in their devices and crippling their potential.

Very true. And yeah, it's great that you can easily port GTK+ apps, but the few that are worth porting, like Transmission, are a pain to use that I'd rather have a Qt variant, QtRapids for example.
