I know 13 is considered unlucky...

So why are primes considered unlucky??

Hi All,

An N900er from Mangalore, working in Bangalore.

@Ykho: Regd your question, I dont think 51, 101, 501 are auspicious in any way. Its just that in our weddings, whenever people keep money as gifts in the cover, they don't just keep one single note, say a 50 or a 100 or a 500. Rather, they also keep a one rupee coin along with it. Now don't ask me why they do this. This is all I know about this!

@Ejas: TMO take over eh? I guess that should be easy considering they only have Chuck Norris, but we've got Rajanikanth on our side!

Hi,
I am from Maharashtra, Sangli, and bought my phone in Saudi, and was having skype in that. however, due to the compelling belongingness to India, I flashed it with an image for india and the skype had gone...
So then recently I flashed it with a global image with inbuild skype... Hope it works for many skype aspirants...

Well it depends if ur on Vodafone prepaid or postpaid...

My main number which is on the N900 is on postpaid & i can access 3G from it only through Vodafone Live which does not allow skype & email client..

But i have another number on prepaid with 3G activated on Vodafone Mobile Connect & that gives me amazing speeds. Also allows Skype & push email when i switch this sim to my N900..

U must be talking of 3G Video calls..

Who needs to pay for Vodafone's dumb 3G video call service when i can do free video calls on skype & gtalk with 3G....

I prefer that way since i have most of my frenz on skype & gtalk.....

I remember seeing an ad for the N900 here a couple of times when it launched officially in India in the Times of India & daily paper Midday...

Not television ads however have been done for the N900 here..

Indian since the origins of maemo.... from 770 days. Good to see many of my friends still sticking with nokia/linux instead of going to the eyecandy os like the iphone.

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from India

Here in Kerala, most of the shop owners were warning people that this is not a 'normal' phone. I had to convince them that I was well aware of the dangers... :D
Anyway, guys, how much will a 3g connection cost in your state? My usage may come upto 3GB per month. Just net usage. Any advice?

plaban 2011-03-24 04:22

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from India

I use EDGE for surfing as 3G is not available in my area. For updating and installing software I use Wi-Fi.

Hmmm, that is intresting. I use the nokia stock AC-10 charger just fine. I also use the adapter occasionally. Did u try in different places in Kerala?

13 unlucky hmmm. but 13 seems lucky for me:p
