Have you renamed uImage2 to uImage?

I tried it first. But it was on the first partition anyway.
And commands above from meego tutorial will produce file named uImage

But starting the kernel fails (the device just turns off).

Maybe there is a connection? Are there any swap lines in fstab? And where is fstab actually?

Maybe, but writing a proper boot.scr is the way to go, anyway.
When you write a boot.scr, keep in mind it isn't just a text
file. You have to use mkimage to create a loadable file.

kingoddball, can you try just changing third partition type from swap to FAT on your BB and try to boot?

simple boot.scr from
http://brazza.eu/weblog/2010/11/16/h...3-pr/#more-185
didn't work, of course.

And this looks promising:

Yes, the u-boot actually reads boot.scr from the first partition of the mmc.
I had to type
Quote:

run noloboot
to boot maemo.

So it's not the swap problem, I guess.

R&D-mode may help
http://wiki.maemo.org/R%26D_mode

I remember the first nitdroid kernel only works in R&D-Mode,
but I am not sure.

Sorry,
I didn't get it sooner, I was watching tv and didn't see this.

Super-jumbo seems to need the swap.

I was only using a 16GB class 2. I'm going to try find a 4gb class 4 or 6 today.
