They took it out. The BT Skype doesn't run on LCARS, only on Wind.... Wind.... Can't get it out of my mouth/keyboard....

The laser function is in development, for the transformer ability you will have to wait until the next model pops out (nokia n9000p, where p means Prime) :D :D :D

they decided to change the OS to a linux Franklin-like multilingual translator. more user friendly.
Oh and also a metric unit converter. and a international country code finder.

When I called the Nokia Shop in Helsinki, they told to check there as this would be the 1st place to appear. This is not a Finnish website but European.

I have to say they did not seem to be aware of anything. So IMHO, this information has no value at all.

Shall I repeat? : Nokia Multimedia is in the great conference hall of Nokia House, reading our posts on a giant screen. The crowd is roaring with laughers.

yes there is :if you click on release notes, a popup will display

"OS 2007 edition v. 3.2007.10-7 includes improvements and fixes in:

* Video and Flash performance and quality
* Bluetooth connection
* Browser stability
* Activating touch screen and keys lock

Also various stability fixes have been made."

This doesn't work for 1.2006.26-8 2.2006.39-14 (neither week 26 or 39 had day 8 or 14 falling within the respective week). I thought the final digit was the build number within the week, ie. build attempt. The original N800 firmware was 2.2006.51-6 yet some devices shipped with 2.2006.51-7 - again no day 6 or 7 fell in week 51 (period 18 Dec to 24 Dec) so the discrepancy is most likely explained by an extra build of the code base sometime within week 51.

If there is a firmware release tomorrow, the firmware version will be 4.2007.xx-yy where xx is a week from about 6 weeks ago (when the build occurred - allow ~6 weeks for QA, eg. 21) and yy will be some random number between 1 and 30! :)

My guess... 4.2007.21-8

(in other words, all of the people here in the future have already won the lottery. Winning the lottery is now the most popular career and most
N800 tablets are actually used almost exclusively to call our accountants in the Cayman Islands via Skype -- since the world economy collapsed due to the massive inflation from all of the winning lottery tickets, the only way to communicate is with a tablet. There's no such thing as a phone or computer anymore).

Anyway, my whole reason for writing is to please ask Nokia to delay the release of this firmware until tomorrow so that they can remove the postbackintime feature. Sorry about the delay, but perhaps knowing that you are saving humanity will make the wait more bearable.
