Why are you guys so exited about android?, i've been using honeycomb gtab 10.1 for about a week, and i already got bored with it. While maemo5 haven't bored me a bit yet, since there still a lots that i can do with maemo5.

Games (Not geek ones), Lot of Apps, descent emulators...What else??? To be honest, there are some task which the N900 cannot make easily than android. Let recognize it!!
Except that, Maemo is still the best!! :cool:

If you like android, you should get an android phone (ex. galaxy s2). N900 works best with maemo.

U gotta have patience...Porting something like that & make it fully functional takes time..It's not a piece of cake...

If e-yes just releases it without making it fully functional then also u people keep complaining that this is missing & that is not working...Now when he is taking his time to perfect everything then also u complain...Learn to appreciate the work he is doing..He could have abandoned this project but he did not...That's what u call a man of words...

@e-yes..Bro even im waiting for this update but please take ur time to get this into a stable state like all ur previous releases...Thanks a ton for all the work u put into the NITDroid project....:)

Hey Guys! I have installed N12 UMay in Emmc. Everything is working perfectly fine except for accelerometer which is not working in games. Screen rotation is working. I know it's not the right place to ask this question but I have asked this in many places but didn't got any answers. So please guys how to make accelerometer work in games? Will it be solved in 2.3.5 and I have heard that there is a patch to make it work. Where to find that?

If this release make all the components to work, i Mean, calls, GPS, Accelerometer, i will keep it. Anyway until then, E-yes has done a good work. It's not a bad news at all dear friend. :D

Edit: And camera too. It has been proven somewhere that it works or at least it will.

after eyes releases nitdroid will it possible to play nitdroid multitouch games with keyboard like webos. as he said that he will abandon the project so will it be possible to make something like that without him?

That is if someone can continue it, and that the resources he has used can be made available. But not just anyone can continue it, because it obviously needs experience.

Not sure, the Wiki says you need the archive (.tar.bz2) as well as the .deb...I'm waiting to see the archive show up on http://downloads.nitdroid.com/e-yes/ before I attempt to install 2.3.5, but I am damn close to trying with the UMay archive.

how do you install the new kernel with umay already installed?

i tried:

I think you must mount android under maemo before installing the new kernel. Try to check the wiki for more informations. Cheers!!!

Aren't we still waiting for the archive for the new kernel to be loaded? Unless we are able to load the new kernel using the older N12_Umay archive?
