@Msameer: hey I got an android similar (as maesho123 said) quran + translation... can you put this one instead the present one.. because this one is more better in look and its with translation.

and one more thing... about the placement of translation you can put it under the verses as it is or hidden, that is if the user want to see the translation he can tap on the verse and it expands to show the translation, and to hide it back one more click to close it or hide it. (you can put and option in settings to complete hide, full show or default(one with tapping to show translation))

Sorry for the delay.

I'm progressing nicely. I had to work around some problems with the old QML version shipped with PR 1.3 which took some time.

I have no QML "widgets" so I was doing everything from scratch which took time.

I'm still working on implementing the features in the Qt version. I will then roll a release for testing afterwards.

When that is mature enough, I will start adding new features.

I can provide a tarball and detailed instructions if you are interested in testing. There's no .deb ready yet.

Sorry, I'm not going to replace the current text with that. I'm using text to do the rendering while that site is a bunch of images.

I was thinking that the translation can be shown by double tapping a verse. Not sure yet.

@sameer: ok but is there any way we can change the font(design) because some words are not looking proper.

p.s. Please check the font in Quran app which is available in repos it looks much better but that font is not resizable.

The font design cannot be changed. The author of the font doesn't allow this and I can't do anything unfortunately.

I checked the text itself and it's correct.

I can switch to another font (Scheherazade) from http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/p...id=ArabicFonts

I'm attaching a screenshot of the first page.

I can also bundle both fonts and make it configurable.

Great Work.. Bro..
i would a few suggestions

1) use volume-rocker/up-down-key for scroling..
2) when we are at the bottom of page pressing down-key/volume-rocker once again for next page..(same goes for previous page)
3) NIGHT MODE will be highly appreciated(you already made it in settings)
4) portrait mode can still be achieved with keyboard open "PLEASE DONT DISABLE IT, ITS GOOD IF WE CANT TOUCH THE TEXT FOR ANY REASON"
5) FULLSCREEN MODE..

Scheherazade is also from that page.

There are multiple texts available. The QC one and the one I use. Both are correct but they depend on the font being used for the correct rendering. That's why the text from a source might not render correctly using a font from another source.

The QC font looks good but they replaced the unimplemented glyphs by a weird looking dot. I initially used that font and I've seen the weird looking dots in the text because it uses some unicode characters unimplemented by the font.

The font is also non modifiable so I cannot fix it.

And both texts are unmodifiable too so they cannot be adapted.

3) What's night mode ?
4) Portrait mode has been implemented in git already. You can select Portrait, Landscape or Auto. Auto will follow the device orientation.
5) Full screen has been implemented too. Check the screenshot in my reply here

i didnt do anything.. but i have cssu and power kernel installed.. maybe theme customizer my have done this... i really dont know... i was shocked to see your screenshot with that font...

i didnt recompile the app nor i changed the font or anything.. what i did is.. i went to this page and downloaded the version 1-4

copied it to MyDocs and installed.. what i got is you can see in the screenshot above.. the problem is some words are not proper due to that font...

@TransTech If you believe the new font is better then I'll trust you and use it instead of the old font ;)

The app with the blue interface us the QML version. It's almost ready and I'll try to roll a test version tonight but it wasn't ready a few hours ago. I'm working on it daily.

Why do you need to center align the text ? The natural direction is right to left.

Please also note that qtquickcompat from http://maemo.org/packages/view/qtquickcompat/ is needed.

The QML version contains only the features from the Qt version. I also added orientation support and full screen support. It's still rough around the edges but it's progressing :)

I thought the transitions are not that good but I'm glad you guys like it!
