Update - managed to order one from HP.com small business site. Website crashes at every step of the order process but refreshing and re entering details works. Took me an hour but it's done.

I would do it urgently before the majority of the US population wakes up and tries it again.

Just checked it now, its gone/too late.
It directs you to a waiting list.

$99 is a really great deal, even the $149 for 32GB is great.
I would even pony up $149 for the 16GB, the hardware is worth it.
And stock OS is great (but dead ecosystem), and I'm optimistic about an Android/Ubuntu port.

Too bad. I would keep trying. I just managed to order 2 more 32GB one's. I love the OS and can imagine other OS's being ported now that the market will be flooded with these.

I got through to the checkout ok and ordered 1 before I saw your link, 32gbs were still in stock (I may have had the last one)

May I ask how much was your total in the shopping cart? inc taxes and shipping...

Glad someone else got through. Shipping was $0 but tax was $17.88.
So for 2 the total came to $315.88

Did you get a confirmation email about the order? because I didnt. I did a screenshot of the confirmation page in case.

yeah, I think i made it through to the US shopping cart though. It does not have the option to choose UK shipping. I never made it to teh "confirm your order" page

Looks like I may have to go through your link and keep refreshing the page :(

Got the 16gb model for $99 from bestbuy,
I'm going to send it to indonesia :)

Does anyone know if they cancel my order ?

Well they could cancel my order and refund my money i guess..

It's a decent device from what i've read
I just wish webos had an option for usb otg so that i can use external modem..

I just got my conformation for the order.. waiting for it to be shipped.. I got mine from the ebay listing yesterday from DataVis.

I Keep checking ebay. The prices are slowly starting to creep down but the P+P can vary.

16gb models are being sold for £120 "buy it now" but with £48 postage to the UK. I will keep watching

Edit: Amazon have them for $150 through onSale, no shipping to UK though :(

I just ordered a $100 16 GB one from costcentral.com. According to their site, they had over 7000 left, and they had about 10000 of the $150 32 GB ones.

It is always easier to adapt software to hardware, isnt it? Android port work is already under way. If meego is so universal why dont have one on these babies?

Can the N900 be used as a modem for the touchpad? Via either USB or bluetooth as I do all the time for my laptop?

Answer is yes, i use mobilehotspot (requires wifi to ad-hoc) for my moto xoom.
