It seems like this could be the better deal for any US guys. (credit to @anismistry) With the Aussie dollar being near even with the US, you can take that price almost at face value. Somebody else mentioned the ability for those sites to subtract near 10% (I would guess more like 8%) for the GST since Americans don't have it.

Yeah, Expected Release Date is: 10/10/2011. I wanna get it before Oct 28th. It takes two days to confirm the payment so hopefully the phone will ship as soon as they get their shipment.

No disrespect meant by this... but can you really say that you'd count on the folks with the device for an unbiased review that you'd pay attention to?

I think that people have been answering questions - enough for me at least, which is rather shocking since I expect a lot - but it shows just how different the users are from my usage. I've found out more about the virtual keyboard and the terminal than I have how well it does on phone calls. I'm still curious - and asking quickly answerable questions - about the N9, and those questions are getting answered one-by-one. I cannot complain on that front.

But I need to be my own judge - and I can't get the damn thing into my hands without paying a high price. I'm gonna resolve that very soon too.

Sorry to disappoint you but the pocket computer doesn't have a sqrt function for the calculator. There is also no scientific calculator app for N9 at the moment.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but N9 available in Stockholm Sweden. At least in The Phone Shop in Gallerie.

Only black 16Gb version, about 550€.

Just bought my N9 it last night within hours of release in UAE from Nokia Store.. the 64GB version cost me AED 2649 while 16GB version is 2349 AED.

Can someone summarise which country has released the 64GB version in western europe. I need to book easy jet flights to go pick some up. Will aim for this weekend and am more than happy to pick up as many as i can get away with for the rest of us in the UK/US.

Yes I know I have said I dont want one and then back tracked and said i want one and then i dont want one ... and so forth.

Update

- Switzerland has the 64GB

While you can pre-order it in many shops in Switzerland, I haven't found a single shop that claims to have the 64GB model in stock. Have you found one? The black 16GB version appears to be in stock in multiple shops, though.

My black 64 GB came from Denmark... Looking into Navifirm, 64 GB black seems also to be the only Country Variant for Denmark.

Right. When I preordered the 64GB on highdefinition.ch they says available oct. 6, then changed to oct. 14 and now the date is unknown.

sorry should have mentioned that. I chatted with a person on the site and they said it would ship Monday the 17th. Its a trusted site so if a local store tells me they can't get a hold of one I will pre-order.

For those interested in buying the 64 GB n9 in Europe:

Just wanted to let you know that I have orderered N9 64 GB from clickok.se on friday and today my order status has changed to "sent from depot" (Skickad från lager) and my credit card was charged EUR 674,73 corresponding to 6.145,00 SEK including freight to Germany. I take that as good news, only downside: No tracking number so far.

So as the some poor reviewsfor this store complain, and as clickok acknowledges on their homepage, even though they say "paa lager" that means it is in stock at some of their distributors, and hence may take 2-5 days to ship. Nevertheless, until amazon and the like ships the N9, it might be still an option to consider.

I'm sure I'm not alone in still wondering when any retail organisation will be selling the N9 in North America (north of the Rio Grande, anyway) :( Starting to wonder if expansys in either Canada or the US will ever change from pre-order to anything more hopeful.

I suspect it won't happen till you see far more widespread availability in destination countries.
Only then will it start to trickle to non-destination countries. So we could be looking at Dec?

N9 launching tomorrow in Mauritius. Limited stock.

64GB - MUR 26,979 - around $946 or 700€ or £613.

As a comparison, the iPhone 4 16/32GB is sold for $982/$1157.



... & I still don't have my N9 (from the contest). :mad:

In your case i wouldn't even bother getting the n9. But I resisted buying the galaxy 2 for some time now and am sick of waiting (Lost my n900, currently using a dumbphone (um sorry, old s60 handset)).
