Re: HP keeping WebOS after all, making it open-source to the community
The news doesn't entirely surprise me...
Do you forget who is the head of HP's WebOS?? Our very own Ari Jaaksi, former head of Maemo at Nokia... |
Re: HP keeping WebOS after all, making it open-source to the community
^ So true, it totally crossed my mind.
And the reason why Android 4 (ICS) doesn't totally suck is because Google has hired some staff (graphic designers) from HP (formerly Palm sector). NOKIA wtf are you doing? |
Re: HP keeping WebOS after all, making it open-source to the community
I hope this results in some kind of union or tight collaboration w/Tizen* (still vaporware :()
There's been rumors the same might be happening with BADA (not it's core) + Tizen. They're not solid at all mind you. But a union with WebOS would be even better.... So long as it's all workable of course, it might create more clutter, than do any good. *Or even Meltemi!? But that's still a twinkle in Elop's eye, & even more vapor-ish than Tizen :( And less likely to be as a good a fit, as Tizen. |
