Moreover, do you have your videos in Gallery or in the video app ? I think that personnal videos taken by the N9 should appear in the video app with PR 1.2... |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Facebook not update automatically on events page, but it works if I do it manually or starts the app.
Anyone else with the same problem? |

When I want to share a photo via Bluetooth, the bluetooth turns on itself and then it should turn off itself when the photo is sent.
Yesterday this worked for me, today BT stays ON after the pic is sent. WTF? |

Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Seems like there is quite a bit a lag if I rotate terminal from portrait to landscape and back. It was never that great with PR1.1 but it seems worse now...
EDIT: I don't understand why, but the rotation of terminal is not quite as bad now. Also swipes may be a little more responsive. |

Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Next time (if will ever be) I will wait 1-2 weeks before updating the firmware , because it seems that PR1.2 brought us more bugs than fixes and features . Such a big shame , the only thing that stops me to sell the N9 is the look , I love it for how it looks and swipe UI it's amazing , without these I would sell it at half price without any regret just to get rid of this mockery from nokia . So far I don't like android and I hate ios , so I would turn back to N900 or why not one of those simple , very cheap and efficient phones that are used only to call & text and with a huge battery life-time .

Apparently there is some tracker that will automatically display that message after a series of unsuccessful boots, but by no means is it bricked. |
Nokia Drive not working after 1.2 update
Nokia Drive wont run. I've tried power cycling, restoring settings and changing language but Drive just crashes after clicking on the app and seeing the boot screen for ~3 seconds. Maps works fine. Any suggestions?

Guys, please read if you haven't already. Especially the bit about PR1.1 based system tweaks and possible affects on your N9 after updating to PR1.2. http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...ce=twitterfeed

Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Singapore, 005. Updated via NSU and it certainly feels faster to me. Only problem I've encountered is the FB/Twitter not refreshing in main screen.
Edit: nevermind. Just had to open the apps and sign in again. All is well. Not sure what all has happened with other guys' phones but despite NSU telling me the update failed (when it boots up after flashing) it has given me good results each time. |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Mentioned it in another thread, but the wife is pretty pissed off about losing the contacts during pr1.2 OTA upgrade.
Has anybody a solution? It looks like only the main contacts are lost but not from other services e.g. facebook. |

Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Those worrying about the lags should not worry it definitely goes away as most are saying. First try rebooting a couple of times if you think yours is taking too long , thats how I fixed mine. To make sure everything is cached just try and uninstall an app from the app launcher and if its says "unable to complete operation caching items" then just wait some more or restart until you no longer receive that message. I have rebooted three times and my phone is even snappier than Pr 1.1 IMO anyways. Good Luck

Have the exact same issue. This is really pissing me off. Not being able to access emails is a HUGE issue. Come on Nokia.... EDIT: Also, can't access "Installations" in Applications Setting menu. So I can't even delete it. Can't seem to find it in Nokia store either. Seems like I can't even access half of the settings in the "Applications" Settings menu. Does anyone have a solution or work around? |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues

Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Guys after update wait for hour or two and then use the device. It was already reported that you must wait to become normal again. I had same issues, but all gone after a couple of hours (now it's maybe even little faster now).

I had the same situation up until yesterday, the Mail app absolutely didn't work, though I had the accounts properly set and visible in Accounts app...my gallery was all empty, though I could see all my pictures in Pictures folder in Filebox...reboots didn't help, resetting or clearing the phone neither...I reinstalled FW via NSU, no change whatsoever... I must add that this hassle had started when I was playing with speed up transitions in QuickTweak app..that was crucial mistake as I then chatted with Schturman, who made the app...until it's ready for PR1.2, stay totally out of it... also, backing up the phone is kinda problematic as neither in-phone backup, nor Nokia Link's one did good for me...anytime I restored, even after hard flash, the phone was messy again... so I suggest to fill up the phone with apps, accounts and other stuff without any restore, as a clear device...it'll definitely help... to be honest, I'm too rather disappointed with Nokia's approach at this update as it clearly has a lot of bugs and some tricky issues appear at almost every owner...it's really exhausting just spending time with flashing and reinstalling... nevertheless, after all this my phone works pretty good and I'm kinda satisfied with the speed and stuff...only some apps act strange, Shortcuts don't work at all, Gtalk video call totally lagged it so I uninstalled it... |

i mean when i updated it also said failed , will restart in 5sec. restratred and i was on 1.2 evrything is fine. i have all my gallery pics my back up was fine, its juts Email that will not open. i did install any tweaks on my phone either. |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
If it said it failed during the update it's pretty clear what the cause was, personally I think flashing is your only hope, waiting for a work around would be tedious etc, and the chances of doing OTA when it think's 1.2 is completely installed..... you don't want to wait for 1.3 right?
Unless it was a matter of lag while tracker was doing it's thing, issues would be gone by now though. On the bright side I can say from experience that If you simply flash the phone without clearing it first most of your stuff should still be there after flashing, well beside's any apps you've installed will have to be redone, but email, accounts etc should all be there still, even your contacts. I usually would recommend fresh install though, phone cleared through settings first etc. But always back your shiz up, always. |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
Can I flash PR1.2 over the existing install without losing my files and contacts etc? Don't really care about installed apps as I can re-install. A clean install would be extremely painful.
EDIT: Everything else is a huge improvement over PR1.1. Faster, smoother, lower battery consumption and better copy and paste.... Just wish this didn't screw up such a critical function. |

Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
I am 100% certain that if you have updated to PR1.2 with NO tweaks in the terminal, it works fine. It works faster, smoother and with no bugs as far as I can see.
I acknowledge that there may be regional issues due to the firmware differences, but I firmly believe that any big problems that users are experiencing are more likely to be attributable to hacks in the terminal which are messing up the device after updating to PR1.2. So, if you are in the "big problems" category, my advice is to revert back to a clean system, update to PR1.2 to experience the N9 as it should be. Then, and only then, start making your tweaks and hacks - provided that the hack is based on based on the PR1.2 firmware. |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
I've had developer mode enabled, but have not modified the software using terminal. I certainly haven't used root access.
I've installed apps from non-store sources, but most of those are now on the store, with the same version number. Only ones I can really think of that modify the system are myMoves and a program that modifies the standby screen. When I updated, it said installation failed, could not find "devtools memory" or something like that. Just assumed that installation failure was due to that, and I could reinstall that from Nokia source. |
Re: PR1.2 update bring issues
I think we are making progress on identifying the cause of the disappearing contacts. It looks like my wife synch'ed them originally from the nokia account (ovi), which seem to have lost them in the meantime. So know it assumes that they are deleted and does the same on the device. Why this hasn't happened before is the question?
