This is great news, though I'm not a power user myself but any development is good development.

On side note, could you please change your official site background from black to any other colour ? Reading text is out of question I cannot even look at the site for more than 2 secs.

Thanks

I just added an alternate stylesheet that allows you to swap the colors from white-on-black to black-on-white. If you use IE8/9 or Firefox, you should be able to select it from the menu. Does that help?

Although not Easy Debian, I have my own custom debian chroot script I've been working with (for Android, Kindle, and, now, Meego :)).

I was able to mount the loop filesystem... however, chroot is not working so far.

/home/user # /usr/sbin/chroot debian /bin/zsh
chroot: can't execute '/bin/zsh': Operation not permitted

[with aegis-exec]
/home/user # aegis-exec /usr/sbin/chroot debian /bin/zsh
chroot: can't change root directory to debian: Operation not permitted

Anyone have ideas?

Question: How does inception stop the lag? Do I just install it and that's all (for removing the lag)?

Also, without Aegis it would be difficult to tell what sort of functionality a given program uses.

So does Inception let these options be or not? Because I don't know if it's worth to install it losing an option to control what capabilities/privileges my apps have...

And the CPU is almsot the same.

If I recall correctly milestone uses TI OMAP3430. Droid X uses TI OMAP3630 which is same as N9.

However, Moto doesn't provide unlocked bootloader (even up to now). Therefore the overclock is in module, not from the kernel.

I'm so eager to see the overclock happened in N9 :) ....whatsapp of course.....draw something as well

twoboxen: those sound like the same issues I was having when using previous aegis hacks before the open kernel. There's no way to sign the binaries in the mounted chroot, which is why I suspect open mode will always required...

Oh! For the avoidance of doubt, INCEPTION doesn't disable Aegis. It merely allows you to access all of the privileges within Aegis. All your existing apps are left alone, as are apps you install normally - for INCEPTION to do its job, you must use the incept utility to install apps that require it.

Also, apps that take advantage of INCEPTION still use Aegis manifests, and you can still examine them to see what privileges they require.

It's possible to use INCEPTION to disable Aegis, but no one has done this (yet) - the benefits of doing this are debatable but it would be a useful thing to have available for those who want it.

That's a known timing-related bug - try running pasiv again.

Also, the permissions you get when using develsh will stay the same - only when using opensh will everything be listed.

Where did you obtain that .deb from? It looks like it was compiled with the PR1.3 SDK and has dependencies that prevent it from being installed on any public firmware.

Also, there should be no need to incept things like Fennec that don't need special permissions - you can just install them normally with dpkg -i. However, that won't solve the problem you're experiencing here.

No. Open mode only at this point. Aegis must be completely disabled for Debian chroot.

I'm not flooding and you are actually spamming . As you see I got no answer there , so now the with all these people more focused on the aegis maybe I'll get an answer . And when someone makes a new application , it's always better to report any bug/problem related to that app . :)

that is not an error in the first place, just some warnings in the syslog that can be ignored. And has nothing to do with installation of anything.
